HTC Cruise Announced

The Touch Cruise is looking to be the new king of the GSM hill - Quad-band GSM/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, FM Radio, HTC's TouchFLO interface, and a decent amount of processor power and memory all wrapped up in a pretty slim form factor. That's 'slim' as in “no physical keyboard” slim, 15.5mm, just about 1.5 mm thicker than the original HTC Touch.

Sprint Touch - Video First Look

Our initial impression: pretty neat. Sprint seems to be making this an important device for their lineup this Christmas - they've bunded a heckuva lot of their own apps and services in there. I'm not sure I like that -- I'm especially dubious about their java-based Sprint Music app -- but the device itself is a big improvement over the original HTC Touch. More memory, a faster processor, and improved TouchFlo features make the Sprint Touch a winner - it's almost enough to make you forget they dropped WiFi on the device.

HTC Touch gets Memory Bump, New Colors

The biggest knock I have on the HTC Touch (Video first look here) is that it's pretty short on memory. I spent way too much time uninstalling apps and managing what was open - it was just too small. Fortunately, the Sprint Touch doesn't look to have that issue. Now HTC has announced that they're giving the GSM version a bump - 256 MB of ROM and 128 MB of RAM. They've also added two colors to the already available “Elegant Black” and “Wasabi Green” -- “Burgundy Red” and “Immaculate White.” The Red version looks pretty awesome, me want.

HTC Vogue (that's a CDMA-Touch) gets FCC Approval

We figured it was coming because of that leaked roadmap and now we have further proof - the FCC has approved the HTC Vogue, which is the CDMA (meaning higher-speed EVDO, huzzah!) version of the HTC Touch, with which I’m so smitten I can’t put it down long enough to write up a review of it, choosing instead to make video comparisons with the iPhone.

HTC Touch Tutorials

I’m going to go ahead and count this new site detailing how to use the HTC Touch as evidence for HTC releasing the rumored CDMA version sometime in the near future. Why?
