I got these in my e-mail before he did (so much for push e-mail), was able to go to 5 different testing sites and resolve the issue on my EDGE connection all before he was able to open even the first site to start troubleshooting on his EVDO connection.... Unlike the WM and Palm users who can’t see many of the inline attachments or HTML messages, I see the entire message which makes it much easier to actually reply to the message and conduct business on the road.

And it turned into a more general “Windows Mobile vs. iPhone” sort of deal, so it turned in a long (25 minutes) one. So grab a cuppa and witness the low-key smackdownery.

Here they are on my desk, sitting quietly next to each other. On the inside, though, both are smoldering cauldrons of hate and jealousy.

Way back when I first unboxed the HTC S710 (aka the HTC Vox), a reader commented that my voice sounded giddy. Indeed, I was giddy. The s710 was (and is) an exciting form factor for Standard-Edition Windows Mobile phones - a candy-bar slider that includes both a standard 12-key phone pad and a full qwerty keyboard. But innovative form factor does not a usable device make. How does the s710 stand up to actual use? Read on for the full review.

Now that the T-Mobile Wing is out and available in the stores, there’s probably a healthy amount of MDA users out there wondering if it’s worth the price to upgrade. Now, far be it from me to tell you how to spend your money - 500 bucks before contract discounts is a lot of money. And on paper, the Wing doesn’t exactly blow the MDA out of the water. Take a peek at what hasn’t really been upgraded:
What specs are better? Well the Wing has a 2 megapixel camera, the MDA’s is 1.3. That’s about it, actually, except…
So the main differences come down to two things: Windows Mobile 6 on the Wing and the Wing’s improved form factor. I won’t get into WM6 too much here (it’s better, but in my opinion it won’t knock your socks off); instead let’s look at the form factor differences. Read on for a photo-fortified-form-factor smackdown between the Wing and the MDA.

Yes, I am giving away the ending, no, I do not care. The Blackjack absolutely decimated the Blackberry 8800 in a head to head, and rightly so. If Cingular/ATT (Can I stop calling them Cingular yet?) would just get off their duff and put up 3G in my area I wouldd switch to the Blackjack in a heartbeat. As it is, I am mostly a Dash man right now. Hurry up ATT!

When you're starting a new site you want to build up a great community of readers and of folks who post great stuff to your forums. Imagine my *bliss* when gadgetluva submitted this review (which is after the break and which you *must* read) then, it almost makes up for the downtime we experienced on Friday and over the weekend (sorry about that, by the way). Best of all, gadgetluva isn't addicted (like I am) to putting parentheses everywhere.
So grab a cuppa'joe and settle in for a comprehensive smackdown between the current big players on AT&T/Cingular after the break.
